Claire Tuft (she/her)

Claire is a clinical mental health counselor in training, specializing in trauma-informed care. She views counseling as a collaborative process and is dedicated to supporting and empowering clients on their path towards healing and growth. When working with clients, she takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach, drawing from evidence-based practices and theoretical frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, mindfulness strategies, and creative interventions. Her work is shaped by her belief in the power of personal narratives and the capacity to reclaim and reshape one's story, fostering new skills, resilience, and a greater quality of life.
Prior to pursuing her career as a counselor, Claire spent the last fifteen years working professionally in Theater and Film as producer, actor, and casting director. It was her own meaningful experiences as a client and a deep commitment to repair and self actualization that inspired this pivot to a career in counseling. Creative expression and the arts are still a central part of her life, and she looks forward to integrating these passions into her therapeutic work in the future.
Outside of her work as a counselor and her creative pursuits, Claire enjoys traveling, writing, running (slowly), and spending time (especially in nature!) with her partner and pup.
